WELCOME BACK TO ALL 5600+ CUPE EDUCATION WORKERS FROM THE NSSBCU
WHAT A SUMMER IT HAS BEEN, TOO BAD IT HAD TO END! HOPEFULLY THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL WAS A POSITIVE ONE!
The council meets monthly; the last meeting was on August 8th. A bit of downtime this past July was a good thing, because we are all going to be busy as the school year starts!
What a summer! Nelson, Gerrard, Jenny Lynn, Shelley, Kevin, Jennifer, Andrew and the two Roberts warmly welcome our members, all other school staff, and especially the new and returning students across Nova Scotia back for a new school year!!
For new(er) CUPE members, we want to introduce the NSSBCU. (The Nova Scotia School Boards Council of Unions) includes the presidents of the eight CUPE locals representing school support staff across the province, along with myself, the council communications officer. We are also supported by CUPE staff, including the servicing representative and sector coordinator Mary Fougère.
